Step closer to Resuming Restricted Freight NetworkNov 15, 2016
Firstly we want to acknowledge the tireless effort our team have provided since the earthquake shook New Zealand – a huge effort has gone in across the country to ensure our clients are affected as little as possible – all during a very stressful and trying time for everyone.
Our entire Operations and Management team are working through the required amendments to our network to ensure services are resumed as soon as possible.
With ferry services now operating at a limited capacity, subject to weather, we are a step closer to resuming our freight service into / out of the South Island. Please note there is a severe weather warning in place for Wellington which may affect the ferry services.
There are still major diversions in place due to the damage caused to SH1 south of Blenheim, with the Lewis pass now open at a limited capacity this will be the main detour route until SH1 is rectified.
With our Wellington facility now reopened and operational - services within the North Island should see limited affect.
Inter Island Services will see delays due to restricted ferry capacity and the above noted detours.
Services within the South Island South of Christchurch should see limited affected, North of Christchurch will experience delays due to the above noted detours.
Thank you again for everyone’s patience during these trying times. If you have any questions please contact your account manager.
